While some create code, others manage the process, communicate with customers, and bring projects to fruition. A project manager is a person who speaks to the client in the language of business, and to the team in the language of technology. He combines the customer's goals with development capabilities, builds a clear process within the budget, and supports communication at every stage. We will teach you how to create an environment where the team works with enthusiasm and the client gets a result that exceeds expectations.

Project Manager – Who is he and what does he do

A project manager is a team lead who leads a project from the first meeting with the client to a successful release, controlling the quality, deadlines and results. He must understand the customer’s business goals and the team’s technical capabilities equally well.

It is technical awareness that distinguishes a professional project: he understands what developers are talking about, what client requests can be implemented, which technologies save time and money. Therefore, the goal of the course is to teach you to understand the language of technologies and competently present IT solutions to the client.

The main responsibilities of a project manager are:

  • Communication with the client, project support at all stages, specifying requirements, collecting feedback, presenting solutions and maintaining trusting relationships.
  • Project planning and control – defining goals, stages and deadlines, distributing tasks between team members.
  • Team work organization – setting priorities, controlling deadlines and quality, resolving work issues and conflicts.
  • Tracking progress and preparing reports, assessing risks and adjusting plans.
  • Developing cooperation and maintaining long-term relationships with the client, identifying new opportunities for the project, participating in strategic discussions.

An account manager combines the skills of a manager, an analyst and a communicator. He does not just follow the deadlines - he helps the team understand the goals, and the client - to see the result and value of the work.
